Not all traffic citations require an appearance in court. If you’ve already paid your citation and your appearance isn’t mandatory, you do not need to appear in court. If you wish to dispute the violation, it is your right to appear in court.
If you are not sure whether you must appear for court, please contact the Clerk’s office at 706-866-2989 before your court date.
To determine the amount of the fine, you can call Court Services at (706) 866-2989, or visit fortoglethorpepay.com. You’ll need to have either your Citation Number or your Driver’s License Number available.
Fines can be paid in person, by mail, or online by visiting fortoglethorpepay.com. You may also pay over the phone with your Visa, Master Card, or Discover Card by dialing 855-448-6744.
Payment methods accepted are cash, money order, cashier’s check or credit card. Money orders and Cashier’s checks should be made payable to the City of Fort Oglethorpe.
Personal checks will not be accepted and will be returned.
