Prescription & OTC Drug Disposal Drop Box

The Fort Oglethorpe Police Department provides a safe place for the public to dispose of unused/unwanted over-the-counter and prescription medications, including controlled substances, which could lead to addictions or contaminate the water supply. An important component in protecting your children, family, friends, and the community from the risk of drug abuse is proper disposal. The drop box was donated by the CVS Pharmacy and it is located at the police department.

The drop box can be used at the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department at 900 City Hall Drive.

This drop box is not intended for illegal drugs, needles, liquids, inhalers, or thermometers.

If you have illegal drugs that you would like to dispose of, you can call our non-emergency phone line at 706-935-2323.
