The purpose of the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department is to uphold public safety and the rule of law through responsible, professional, and community-focused policing. Within our jurisdiction, sworn officers are entrusted with the duty to:

- Detect and arrest violators of the law.
- Enforce all applicable federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
